When we were at the Sunday Wedding, there was a Smilebooth setup by Our Labor of Love. It was a lot of fun to take pictures in it. We also shot in a traditional photo booth that the Ace Hotel always has. We thought you would enjoy the pics :)

We had such a blast shooting Mark and Kelli, who just moved to the big city from North Carolina. Maybe it was so much fun because Mark is a comedian and Kelli is an actress, so they knew exactly what to do once the cameras were on them. Or maybe it was because they are one of the most adorable couples on the planet! They kept each other laughing through the whole shoot, giving it a laid-back, casual feel that never felt forced. It was amazing to see just how well they complemented each other, and we feel so lucky to give them these photos to treasure.

So there is a really cool event that usually happens in Southern California called The Sunday Wedding. Apparently it is a big party for wedding vendors, couples, and whoever else wants to go. Next week it is going to be at the Ace Hotel in Manhattan! We are going to be there to see what it is all about. It should be a lot of fun and a great place to meet other vendors and couples. We would recommend it to anyone getting married in the next couple of years.

This weekend, Mer and I went to Governor’s Island. I have been doing some research on it and really wanted to go. I wanted to wait for it to be overcast before we went, and this Saturday was perfect. It is a free ferry ride, and only takes about 10 minutes. The island used to be used for Army, and then Coastguard, housing, training, ammunition storage, and even defense back in the 18th century. The island was purchased for 2 Axe Heads from the Native Americans!

This place would be SOOOOOOO amazing for a bridal or engagement shoot! We really wanted to do one here, but on our way out, we discovered that it is only open from May to October! So we are going to have to wait until May to do a shoot here. That stinks, but enjoy the pictures!!

So we were really excited when Charity DeMeer contacted us to shoot her and her boyfriend Adam. Charity is also a photographer, and it is always awesome when a fellow photographer loves your work. They were flying in from Florida to do a shoot in the Hamptons, but they were able to fit in a fun little photo session with us! We went out to DUMBO, which is SUCH a rad place to shoot! The buildings are all brick and most of the streets are cobblestone, it just looks so cool and screams “New York!”  It was such a pleasure to shoot Adam and Charity because they were very sweet with each other, making each frame an instant keeper!

Hi everybody!  Welcome to our site!  We are so excited to be starting this new adventure in our lives and we hope that you will love what we’re doing too!  I  think it’s only fitting to introduce ourselves so that you can get a feel for who we are and what we do.  Tim and I met in high school nine years ago and have been inseparable ever since.  First boyfriend and girlfriend, first kiss, first love…so cheesy but so awesome!  We just got married this past June (yay!), so we know all about the hopes and concerns of every engaged couple.  We looked at a lot of wedding photographers during the planning process, and let’s just say that some of them were a little underwhelming.  So uninspired, so traditional, so boring, so not us!  Luckily we found the perfect fit, but throughout the whole process we kept thinking why aren’t there more photographers like this?  We should be doing this!  Our style of photography is very unique, edgy, fun and fresh, so you’re not getting your general hands-on-the-bouquet, arbitrary black-and-white, my-friend-could-have-shot-these pictures.  You will be getting amazing photos that capture the happiest day of your life that will be a perfect reminder of that day and a perfect reflection of who you are as a couple.  We consider ourselves easy-going, energetic, happy-go-lucky people and we definitely bring that into our work.  We loved every second of planning our wedding and it lived up to every expectation…we’d love to give you the same feeling of satisfaction of getting exactly what you want.  So have a look around and please contact us if you would like to chat with us!
