Scouting Expedition to Governor's Island

This weekend, Mer and I went to Governor's Island. I have been doing some research on it and really wanted to go. I wanted to wait for it to be overcast before we went, and this Saturday was perfect. It is a free ferry ride, and only takes about 10 minutes. The island used to be used for Army, and then Coastguard, housing, training, ammunition storage, and even defense back in the 18th century. The island was purchased for 2 Axe Heads from the Native Americans!

This place would be SOOOOOOO amazing for a bridal or engagement shoot! We really wanted to do one here, but on our way out, we discovered that it is only open from May to October! So we are going to have to wait until May to do a shoot here. That stinks, but enjoy the pictures!!
